The altitude at the bottom of the slope is 1350 m, from where a gondola starts up to 1800 m. From 1800 m, you can continue the ascent by ski lift to 2000 m, near Vârful Bora in the Lătoriței Mountains (2055 m).
Although not as well known due to a lack of a proper promotion strategy, the ski area in the Vidra Lake area is certainly an excellent choice, being 5 km away from Obârșia Lotrului, 14 km from Vidra and 36 km from Voineasa.
The Transalpina ski area has 7 ski slopes:
- Slope 1: 2257 m long, medium difficulty (served by cable car)
- Slope 2: 730 m, easy (Teleschi 2)
- Slope 3: 350 m, easy (Teleschi)
- Trail 4: 730 m, easy (Teleschi 1)
- Pitch 5: 675 m, easy (Teleschi)
- Pitch 6: 120 m, easy (Teleschi)
- Slope 7: 1230 m (Chairlift)
Unfortunately, the lack of accommodation infrastructure development is a minus, as it is difficult to find accommodation in this area.
